Back from a cold and wet, but flower-filled week of @naturetrek_wildlife_holidays trip to the Vercors in SE France. The meadows were looking glorious, with so much colour 🌸🌻🪻🌼🏵️

In Bretagne, must be cider time! Nice tasting @cidreriedugolfe (including that 40 year old bottle!) 🍻

Pulsatilla 'Rote Glocke' ('Red Bells') brightening my alpine trough. When the flowers wilt, they turn upwards, revealing the stamens 🌸

Super excited to share pictures of this rare daffodil hybrid found on my latest @naturetrek_wildlife_holidays tour in Southern Spain, N. x libarensis. This is a cross between a rock jonquil N. cuatrecasasii and a paperwhite, N. papyraceus (I've added pics of both parents). It was described in 1995, from the exact valley where we found it. It has intermediate characters (pale yellow flowers, larger, wider leaves and flowers between its parents). 😍
